Ragi veggie papad

Ragi Veggie Papad is a delicious and nutritious snack made with ragi flour (finger millet flour) and vegetables. It is a healthier alternative to traditional papads that are typically made with refined flour. Here's a simple recipe to make Ragi Veggie Papad at home:

Ingredients:

- 1 cup ragi flour

- 1/4 cup finely chopped mixed vegetables (carrots, capsicum, onions, etc.)

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)

- Salt to taste

- Water as needed

- Oil for greasing and frying

Instructions:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine ragi flour, finely chopped vegetables, cumin seeds, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

2. Gradually add water to the mixture and knead it into a firm dough. The dough should be smooth and pliable.

3. Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into thin circles or papads using a rolling pin. You can dust the rolling surface with ragi flour to prevent sticking.

4. Grease a plate or tray with a little oil and place the rolled papads on it. Make sure to avoid overlapping.

5. Allow the papads to dry in direct sunlight for a day or until they become crisp. If sunlight is not available, you can also dry them indoors near a window or using a food dehydrator.

6. Once the papads are completely dried, you can store them in an airtight container for future use.

7. To cook the papads, heat oil in a frying pan or tawa over medium heat. Gently slide the dried papads into the hot oil and fry until they become crispy and golden brown. Flip them to ensure even cooking.

8. Remove the fried papads from the oil and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

9. Repeat the frying process for the remaining papads.

10. Serve the crispy Ragi Veggie Papads as a snack with chutney, salsa, or any dip of your choice.

Enjoy the healthy and flavorful Ragi Veggie Papads as a guilt-free snack option. They are packed with the goodness of ragi flour and vegetables, making them a nutritious choice for your snacking needs.
